In 1996 Sun gained a deeper understanding about fasting, meditation and Yoga from a well known Buddhist Monk in the mountains of South Korea. She and the monk practiced Yoga and meditation at dawn every day. Ancient wisdoms were passed down to her about natural health and the importance of body allignment and the healing principles of the joints of our body. She then trained in Holistic Healing, Tai Chi and Qi-Gong, before moving to America in 2000. She developed a body/mind cleansing program in Upstate New York , which is still operating today. Sun then taught Yoga and helped people to heal and bring balance into their lives in Manhattan until 2007. In Manhattan Sun had the good fortune to meet Sri Dharma Mitra and found that his teachings were in line with what she has learned throughout her life. She began to train extensively with Sri Dharma through Life of A Yogi teacher training, Master Yoga Classes and other workshops. And now Sun is here in Wayne, New Jersey with open arms, ready to share all of her experience and wisdom with you. Using her vast knowledge she has helped many people recover from their joint pain issues, even severe cases. Whether neck, shoulder, back or knee pain – there is a simple reason for it and there is an easy solution to alleviate this pain and bring the joint back to its original state. Her philosophy is to allow the individual to learn how to heal and recover their original health and happiness and carry this forward into their daily life. Together with her years of experience in Holistic Healing, her incredible Yoga Classes and her tremendous personality and beautiful smile make Sun a joy to be with.

Tao began practicing Yoga in 1997, while pursuing his quest for the truth about health, life and well-being. He had always suffered with health issues from asthma and headaches in childhood; to severe debilitating tendonitis and back pain in adulthood. In 1997 he came across a Yoga center in Maryland, where he practiced and began to study about Yoga. This took away all of his issues of physical pain along with the added bonus of mental calmness and clarity and a deep connection and feeling of oneness with others and with nature. He decided to dedicate his life to helping others. He has been teaching Yoga Instruction ever since, and has received Yoga certifications through various teacher trainings, and most recently attended Baron Baptiste’s Teacher Training. He also studies under Dharma Mitra, a teacher of teachers who has been sharing his knowledge of Yoga for over 50 years. He has a unique quality to make Yoga accessible to anyone and to bring the benefits of health and happiness to all who are willing to try. He has worked with a wide variety of people with varying levels of physical abilities and health conditions. He helped countless people to recover from illness, improve their state of mind and rebalance their life through simple and time-honored methods. His methods are innovative, enjoyable and highly effective and have become the mainstay for many clients who practice diligently as they continue to enrich their life. Since arriving in Wayne, He has been invited to area gyms, schools and community centers to teach Yoga to everyone from Kindergarten to Seniors. He has also given demonstrations and lectures about natural wellness throughout the community.

Yoga is about the union of our individual consciousness with the higher or universal consciousness. It is our attachments to and identification with, the body and mind, that causes us to feel separated from this Universal Consciousness in the first place. We think the body and mind are the real “us.” And because the body and mind are controlled by desires, emotions, and thoughts which are in a state of constant flux and “stress”, we can never feel a true sense of peace.

Yoga techniques help make the body strong, flexible, supple, and blissful; as well as guiding the mind into a clear but relaxed state devoid of negative thoughts. In this way our physical desires, emotions, and thought patterns become more aligned with our higher self, helping us to make positive life choices that bring about happiness, instead of constant distraction, stress, an discontentment. With less distractions from the body and mind, the consciousness moves naturally towards the universal consciousness, its real true self...

Yoga is not just for flexible people.
Yoga is not for people who want to run away from the world and live in a cave.
Yoga is not a religion...

Yoga is for people who can’t touch their toes, (duh thats why you need it. I couldn’t touch my toes when I started either!
Yoga is for people who want to find balance in a modern world which is anything but...

Yoga is to help a christian be a better christian, a jew a better jew, a muslim a better muslim, a hindu a better hindu...

My hope is that through the practice of yoga people can find physical health, emotional stability, and spiritual peace, so they can make the best decisions in their daily lives which reflect their highest ideals and greatest goals. May all people treat themselves, others, and life with kindness, patience, compassion, and joy!

Om Shanti, (Peace to all)
