Guidelines for a healthy life

There are 3 things in life you can control, everything else is up in the wind.

Exercise: This changes in every stage of your life, first you learn to move as a baby, then with boundless energy we begin flying around. During these two stages of our life, usually our exercise is taken care of with playful activities. Although now there are many more technological games and tv, so correct posture and getting enough physical activity becomes an issue. As we age we may encounter illness or injuries, and our physical exercise becomes more about healing and calming the mind. Many people hold onto the activities or our youth and create more health problems than benefits. When we meet old age what it comes down to is your postural allignment your mental state and your ability to fight off disease.

Think: How we think shapes our lives. Through healthy possitve thoughts we can steer away from the blame game, hatred, anger or other negativity which adversly affects us. A famous monk said "hatred or anger toward others is like driking poison to hurt someone else". We are much more happy and healthy when our thoughts are of a pure, kind and loving nature.

Eat: With all the processed food, chemicals and other man made substances in the things we put in our body, it is a challenge to keep our bodies pure. Basically everyone knows what is good for them and what isn't, so just follow what you know is right. If you need some ideas, there are many excellent recourses. Or you can check out our blog for some sample recipies. Try juicing or fasting occasionally to clear out the toxins that we accumulate through our normal daily life and eat with the idea of love for your body and love for all of nature. If you choose a vegetarian or vegan diet, be motivated by compassion for this earth and to reduce harm to other living beings. Think of your pets before you eat other animals.
